Why metal makes sense in the valley
Metal sheds snow instead of holding it, takes wind without lifting tabs, and does not soften and blister the way asphalt does under a long dry summer. On the exposures we deal with here, off the river and up the hillsides, that combination is hard to beat.

Standing seam, done to the detail
Standing seam hides fasteners under the seam and lets panels move with temperature swings through clips instead of tearing at fixed points. That movement allowance is where most failed metal roofs went wrong, along with flashing that was cut to fit rather than formed correctly.
We handle panel layout so seams land where they should, form our own flashing at valleys, walls, chimneys, and eaves, and set clip spacing for the wind exposure on your specific site. Underlayment goes down as a real water barrier, with ice-and-water at the eaves and valleys, not as a token layer.
Panel systems for shops, barns, and commercial
Exposed-fastener panel roofs are a workhorse on shops, agricultural buildings, and warehouses. Installed with the right fastener, the right washer, and correct screw density, they perform for decades. Installed fast and cheap, they leak at a hundred points at once. We do the former.
We also install structural metal directly over purlins on open-framed buildings, and we can carry the matching siding and steel ceiling liner as one package on the same trip.
Color, profile, and snow retention
You pick the profile and color from real samples on site, not a thumbnail on a screen. We bring them to you and hold them against your siding and trim in daylight. Then snow retention gets laid out over entries, walkways, and drives before anything is ordered.

How long does a metal roof last here?+
Properly installed standing seam commonly outlives two or three shingle roofs. Coating quality, fastener type, and flashing detail matter far more than the panel itself, which is why we do not cut corners on the parts you cannot see from the ground.
Standing seam or exposed fastener?+
Standing seam hides its fasteners under the seam, so there is nothing to back out or leak over time. Exposed fastener panels cost less and go on faster, which makes them a good fit for shops, barns, and outbuildings. We match the system to the building and the budget.
Is a metal roof loud in rain or hail?+
Not in the way people expect. Over a solid deck with underlayment and an insulated attic, a metal roof is comparable to a shingle roof. The noise reputation comes from panels installed over open purlins with nothing underneath.
Will snow slide off onto my walkway?+
It will, which is why snow retention is part of the design, not an add-on. We place bars or cleats above entries, walkways, driveways, and anything below the eave that you do not want a snow release landing on.
